Welcome to West Palm Beach's Winters Vocal Studios! My name is Jennifer (Cooper) Winters and I am a local West Palm Beach professional vocal and performance coach with a passion for music and theatre (theater). I have over 30 years of training and real-life experience that I use to help you learn to showcase your talent(s) and realize your full potential! I will take the time necessary for you to not only learn, improve, and enhance your talents, but also to make your lessons enjoyable as well. You'll want to keep coming back for more! Do you home school your children? Many homeschooling parents are looking for ways to integrate the arts into their curriculum. Often times doing so however, can be inconvenient or impractical. Don't let that happen to you! The services offered here fit into just about any curriculum you have. Exposing your children to singing and acting instruction helps encourage them to be engaging and confident. It also prepares them for future educational opportunities in the field of the arts! I will be your personal coach! At the studio I offer private, one on one lessons, so each student can feel comfortable and relaxed. As your coach, it is my job to assess and evaluate your abilities and strengths, as well as, to nurture them. Quality one on one time is critical for this to happen. From the moment you meet me for the very first time, to the time we say goodbye at the end of each lesson, you will know I love what I do and why I do it! I am a committed teacher and coach at heart and truly look for the best in each student. I will correct your mistakes with empathy and kindness (and sternness when necessary), but will also be your biggest fan and supporter when you are on top of your game! I will bring out the inner you and inspire you to achieve your vocal dreams. My passion for music and acting is contagious and you will catch it! So, come ready to let your voice be heard! Types of Lessons: I offer voice, acting, audition and performance coaching for boys ages 6 to 14 and girls ages 6 to 18. The lessons are geared towards educating students about their particular area of interest, as well as, cultivating and honing in their skills and talents. Each student will gain an understanding of their capabilities and opportunities. They will learn how to use that knowledge to become the best they can be. My goal is that each student will maximize their gifts to their fullest potential! Voice Lessons are conducted in styles such as Pop, Musical Theatre, Classical Arias, Art Songs, and other genres in which the student has Ban interest. A wide-range of musical exposure allows me to meet the needs of just about any student out there. Although singing is a big part of the voice lesson experience, as your voice coach, I also instruct students on proper intonation, annunciation, pronunciation, accent, breath support and deliverance. These components, along with other vocal instruction, serve as core practice items for students in between lessons. They are not just for students choosing to sing, however. They are also for students interested in becoming better presenters and public speakers. Voice Training offers many benefits for many applications. A lot of students come to Winters Vocal Studios looking to discover their talents, while many come to enhance their known gifts. Some come with little to no experience, while others come with performance backgrounds. No matter where a student is along their journey, it's my desire to bring to life, for many years to come, their goals and dreams of singing. My Acting Lessons will make you come out of your shell. I will teach you techniques and exercises that are designed to promote good stage presence, confidence, and instincts! At its core, acting is about being natural in whatever character you play. It is about being the character and making yourself believable as that character. It is critical to have the foundation in place for you to grow and to become a strong actor so that simply acting becomes "second nature" for you! The Sanford Meisner approach to acting is extensively used here to help students better garner their acting talents and guide them as they progress from lesson to lesson. But, acting isn't just about learning. It's also about having fun! We will train using games, improvisation, memory stimulation, and many other energy infused activities. These varied forms of engagement add to the student's experience and help to cultivate a "can do" attitude! In addition to Voice and Acting lessons, I also offer Audition Preparation and Performance Coaching. These one on one lessons are specifically geared toward getting you or your student prepared for schools of choice such as BAK and Dreyfoos, college admissions, roles in theatre, TV, commercials, or simply becoming a better speaker. I take great care in making sure that the requirements for each audition (solo preparation, interviews, site reads, etc,) are known and properly prepared for so that each student is ready for their moment in the spotlight. I've been fortunate to share in the excitement of so many of my students who have achieved success during their audition processes. It's moments like these that encourages me to keep on helping students move along in their singing/acting/professional careers! Lesson Format Details: Lessons are regularly conducted in 30 minutes or 60 minutes segments. I am able to accommodate other time segments on a case by case basis. Due to the demand for my professional instruction and coaching talents, scheduled appointments are required and will start and end at the specified times. Current rates are $40 per half hour and $70 per hour. There are no contracts or monthly commitments for individual lessons with the exception of my cancellation policy. A 24 hours notice for all lesson cancellation is required. If cancelled within 24 hours of the lesson, a full lesson amount will be charged and payment will be due prior to the next lesson. |
